Our customer, Shading Specialists, recently fitted 75 of our R20 roller blinds at Birmingham University. They selected manual chain operation and our Eden Blackout fabric for this installation, which took place in teaching and seminar rooms.
Two blind fitters worked on this project out of hours work due to the teaching rooms and seminar rooms being used throughout the day. Learning never stops! The blackout roller blinds were easy to install and don’t require maintenance, making them a great choice for universities. All our blinds are highly dependable over the long term, so we provide a lifetime warranty on our made-to-measure blinds.
Sam Cross, Commercial Manager said the following about the project, “Installation process was seamless due to the quality of the blinds that were delivered directly to site, all measured, installed, and snag free! Client was over the moon with the outcome. Kudos to Yewdale and our fitting team for a great night’s work.”
As you can see from the images provided by the fitting team, we produced a wide range of commercial blinds at various widths and drops for different sized windows. The new binds have enhanced the interior design of the rooms and provided more insulation, solar reflection and glare prevention.
More details about our blackout fabric
Not only does our blackout fabric prevent light from entering the room, but it also provides some insulation, helping reduce the use of HVAC systems. In modern learning environments like this, removing glare is essential to ensure the students can easily see the digital whiteboard and use their devices without distraction.
Eden blackout fabric is available in 30 colours matching front and back, or you can choose our whiteback version for a uniform exterior view. Alternatively, we offer a recycled blackout fabric which is made from 100% post-consumer products to reduce emissions.
Delivery to site
As mentioned by Sam from Shading Specialists, we delivered their large order directly to the university. If you install blinds, you may order made-to-measure systems to be delivered on-site on the installation day. But what happens if the blinds arrive damaged? This setback can put you out of action for the day, wasting your time. And as the famous saying goes, time is money.
Our Elite delivery service solves this issue because your order will be delivered by a Yewdale van driven by a member of our team. Our customers love this service because third-party couriers don't care about each delivery like we do. It also saves you from packing all the blinds into your van and transporting them to the site. We ensure that your order arrives on time and free from damage, allowing you to crack on with your installation without any delays.
