After a fantastic debut at Clerkenwell Design Week last year, we knew we had to get involved again! The event entices thousands of architects, interior designers and other delegates to explore different showrooms in the Clerkenwell area. Our team will be based at our showroom, ready to meet attendees and introduce them to Yewdale.
A recap of last year
We are fortunate that our showroom has three floors because it was filled to the rafters at last year’s event. The sun was shining down on the courtyard, making it the ideal place to enjoy the cool drinks and pizza we were serving.
Our environmental impact
As a company, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact and helping our customers do the same. Later this year, we will install solar panels, meaning our blinds will be manufactured using renewable energy. Our recycled fabrics mark another step in the right direction to reduce the carbon footprint of Yewdale blinds.
Our key product launch during the event is our range of Tara recycled fabrics. Our recycled fabrics get their name from the river Tara, the cleanest river in the world. The river’s water is so clean it’s safe to drink. Our Tara fabrics are made from 100% recycled materials and are designed for architects who may be specifying eco-friendly products that help to reduce the carbon footprint of a commercial project.
Buying our recycled fabrics reduces carbon emissions and repurposes waste, extending the life of raw materials and cutting the demand for new fabric to be manufactured.
Guided tours
This year, we are offering guided tours of the showroom plus a free breakfast or lunch, depending on the time you book. On the guided tour, a member of our team will take you through the showroom and talk to you about our products that are most suitable for your projects, recycled fabrics, recent product launches and exciting updates we have made to existing systems.
It’s an excellent opportunity to learn more about our vast range of products and ask all the questions you can think of. If you have an upcoming project, our team will take the time to understand your needs and offer advice on which products would be best.
We can provide product demos and let you try them for yourself. Moreover, if you already have a project on your hands involving blinds or curtain tracks you can provide us with your project details and be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 voucher.
You will be able to take advantage of a range of free samples which our customers love to take away and show colleagues and other parties involved in commercial projects. We are also arranging a guest speaker to run an informative seminar on the last day of the event which will cover sustainability in design. If you're attending Clerkenwell Design Week, we'd love to see you at our showroom!
Where to find us
A considerable number of creative businesses are based in Clerkenwell, but we are the only ones with a showroom that displays commercial blinds, curtain tracks, cubicle tracks and curtains and anti-ligature products. From the 23rd to the 25th of May, delegates can visit our showroom at 4 Sutton Lane, EC1M 5PU.
