How do I measure windows for Perfect Fit blinds?
Before reaching for your tape measure, ensure the window you’re going to measure is compatible with a Perfect Fit® blind. Check if it has a rubber beading between the window frame and the glass. If there is no rubber beading, you won’t be able to attach Perfect Fit® blinds to the window. Additionally, your window frame must have at least 30mm of clear space around all edges.
How to measure the window
With a tape measure, take the width and height of the visible glass pane. Do not include the rubber beading in your measurements, measure only the glass.
Perform this measurement at three different points across the window (top, middle, and bottom) and record the smallest of these measurements.
Measure the bead depth
You will need to provide the bead depth when configuring your blind, as this determines the correct bracket size that your blind requires to attach to the window. To determine the bead depth, position a credit card at the corner of your window frame and measure the distance from the glass to the edge of the credit card.
The bead depth measurement typically ranges from 18mm to 30mm.
And there you have it. The correct way to take measurements for this simple-to-install blind system. Following these steps will prevent inaccurate measurements which result in the wrong size blinds being produced. You can explore our range of Perfect Fit® blinds by clicking here.
